Introducing Our Kids' Jiu-Jitsu Program at Rising Tide Hi Tech
At Rising Tide Hi Tech Martial Arts Academy, we are proud to offer a comprehensive Kids' Jiu-Jitsu Program designed to provide children with a strong foundation in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while fostering essential life skills. Our program focuses on creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and develop both physically and mentally.
Our experienced instructors are trained to work with children of all ages and skill levels, ensuring that each student receives personalized attention and guidance. Our curriculum emphasizes the fundamental techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, including self-defense, grappling, and ground fighting. We also incorporate essential values such as respect, discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, which not only help our young students become better martial artists but also contribute to their overall character development.
In addition to learning the core principles of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, our Kids' Jiu-Jitsu Program promotes physical fitness, coordination, and flexibility. Through engaging and dynamic training sessions, children are encouraged to challenge themselves and reach their full potential, all while having fun and making new friends.
At Rising Tide Hi Tech Martial Arts Academy, we believe that martial arts training can have a profound impact on a child's life. Our Kids' Jiu-Jitsu Program aims to instill confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of responsibility in our young students, equipping them with valuable skills that will serve them well beyond the mat.

Rising Tide Hi Tech offers two programs for children, which focus on bully prevention using Gracie/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques. The two programs are:
In both programs, students learn the three “T”s of self-defense. The three “T”s are:
Little Sharks (ages 5-9):
We use partner drills and games to keep our younger students engaged and active. We keep them moving to help develop situational awareness and reflexes.
Juniors (ages 9-13):
In the Juniors classes, much more time and focus are placed on drilling compared to the younger Little Sharks students. This additional level of discipline allows us to show a greater variety of moves and techniques as we dive deeper into the realities of defending against more aggressive opponents.
The three “T”s of self defense - Talk, Tell, and Tackle - continue to be emphasized, along with conversations about leadership, teamwork, and camaraderie.
